Flame on!

It being that time of the month when our wardens hose down the stifling stench of the blog-pits, ArtsWom was forcibly ejected into the cold, lonely streets where we fled, clinging onto our keyboards like life-preservers, to the fiery warmth of the Luminox display which is ending tonight down Broad Street in Oxford.
Man’s attraction to fire is, perhaps, the attribute that most highlights our separation from the animals we have descended from – alternatively it exposes our previously unbeknownst kinship with moths…you decide. Regardless, the display was awe-inspiring and simply fantastic. There was a great atmosphere led by some toe-tappingly enthusiastic folk music. Ultimately though the event has to be seen to be truly understood, so visit the Oxford Daily Photo blog, GarretC’s Flickr album and Meg’s blog to catch a glimpse of what you may be missing if you can’t make it into Oxford this evening.

  1. Thank you so much for your kind words. I also have a confession: a few moments ago I accidentally erased your comment on my blog as I was going through spam– I’m so sorry! Please know that I appreciate you stopping by.
